Pace Park-n-Ride & Expanding I-90 Bus Service
On December 19, 2016, Pace, the regional bus agency, started expanding express bus service along the Jane Addams Tollway (I-90). The service includes connections to Elgin, Schaumburg and the Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line Station in Rosemont, which links to downtown Chicago and O'Hare International Airport. Information about these expanding services is available on the Pace website. -www.pacebus.com
A new Express Bus Station with a Park-n-Ride lot and Kiss-n-Ride is under construction in Hoffman Estates at Barrington Road and I-90!
I-90/Barrington Road Park-n-Ride Station (fully open in 2018)
The region's first-ever highway-based bus rapid transit station is coming to Hoffman Estates! A pedestrian bridge over the tollway is complete, and two tunnels passing beneath ramps allow commuters to access eastbound and westbound buses with ease. The investment in walkability at this location connects Pace passengers to adjacent jobs and residences as well as forthcoming bike, kiss-n-ride and park-n-ride facilities. Once fully open in 2018, commuters will have access to Pace Routes 603, 605 and 607 (and a forthcoming distributor service) as well as 170 free parking spaces and a kiss-n-ride area.
